Salt & Sprig

Central Park, Denver, CO

Our goal with this Central Park home was to create a space that feels open, inviting, and quietly elevated—where architectural volume, natural light, and material texture do the heavy lifting.

The kitchen became the heart of the project, anchored by a dramatic vaulted ceiling and expansive grid of windows that flood the space with natural light. Rather than compete with the architecture, we leaned into a soft, tonal palette and layered in texture—most notably through the handmade zellige backsplash tile. Paired with a mix of painted cabinetry and warm wood accents, the kitchen strikes a balance between refined and approachable.

In the bathrooms, we shifted toward a more grounded, rustic warmth. Natural wood vanities, soft stone surfaces, and warm metal fixtures create a calming, tactile environment. The palette is restrained but rich, allowing materials to speak for themselves.

The fireplace surround was another key update, reimagined to feel more architectural and integrated within the room. Vertical paneling draws the eye upward, reinforcing the home’s height, while the updated tile surround introduces texture and contrast in a clean, modern way. A simple wood mantel adds warmth and ties back to the natural materials used throughout the home.

Overall, this project is about restraint done thoughtfully—letting light, proportion, and materiality define the experience.
